I could use some help.
I"ve got a 93 sport with 130k on it
when I bought it the ac clutch was broken off the compressor
I picked up a rebuilt compressor, upper hose, condensor accumulator and oriface tube and replaced them washed the lower line with mineral spirts then alcohol and reinstalled... I added about 11oz of Ester oil
Next day I put one of those harbor freight vaccum deals on there but got to about 18- 20 of vac.for about 30 minutes.(this is a little low according to the howto on this site)
I added freon and started to get cold air after the 3rd can
everything seemed ok so I put everything away and took it out for a spin.
while I was driving the air got warm and I could hear something going on under the hood.as it turns out the relief valve would spray out oil and freon
and the compressor would cycle off and on.
as it was idling it did the relief valve spraying thing a few times then quit spraying
I put a gauge on the low side and while it was running it would go to about 50 then drop to the 20's and the compressor would stop this cycle repeats itself a lot.
Did I add to much oil ?
it all seemed ok right after I first charged it
I don't know how well I did purging the lines on the gauges as I was bumbling
a little bit at the time.. maybe too much air in the line ?
Can you guys help, What should I do next ??
Thanks in advance
