AC not blowing cold

All,

My AC seems to work at high speeds but not when sitting at idle and barely puts out cold when driving less than 10 mph. The cooling fan is running so im not sure what the issue is. Possibly low freon? Thanks for any input.

I have the same thing. I live in Hoover, AL so I feel your pain.

I think it maybe the new variable displacement compressors for better fuel economy.

I get cold air at idle but I dont' get that "bite" unless I'm driving down the road. My 2000 Ranger feels like it has colder air coming out.

Welcome to the Forum.
Using the Forum's 'Search' program I found several threads on A/C issues but merged yours with this one as it seemed more appropriate.
One of the things that should be checked first I'm guessing would be the refrigerant level to make sure the system is fully charged.

Hi all, I'm jumping in on this post as well. My wife's 2013 explorer xlt is having AC issues. Its just not blowing terribly cold.

2013 Explorer XLT 36k miles.

Today's temperatures in Oklahoma 98f mild humidity
set it on Lo and max cool and the system blow an internal temperate of 80.
I can turn the fan speed down to about the middle speed and it'll blow 65.
here's a shot of my manifold gauges saying 35ish psi to 160ish
Static seems to be about 90 right now, shut the car off 45 minutes ago. my low side guage is a little sprung by 10 psi

Heres a little more information.
Got static, at in car temp in vent was 100 after 45 minutes of setting.
Started car and set Lo, let it idle for 10 minutes and temperature inside vent hit 70
Then turned blower motor down to 3 bars and temperature in vent hit 50 after 10 minutes
Then turned to floor and head vent for 2 minutes and temperature in vent went to 85...

so based on some pressure charts i found on f150 forum i added 4 - 9oz cans of DuPont r134a. this placed my low pressure at 36-37 and high pressure side just at 200. ac seems to be blowing at 43-45 at LoMax. Ambient temperature was at 88 degrees in the shade while i was filling outside.

just placing this here for reference my own reference. It seems i may have solved my own problem.

weird, it all shows fine on my home laptop but work laptop just shows x's like you're seeing. Sorry it all basically show what I've typed. I'll just upload them to the forums directory next time. apparently Google doesn't like hot linking from its photo viewer...
