Adding 4X4 to 91 explorer xlt

I have a 91 explorer xlt that doesn't have 4wd, Is it possible to add this to the vehicle? I have searched this forum, but didn't come up with anything. Please help. Thank you. :>)

IIRC- you will need a 4wheel drive transmission, transfer case, front end and all associated wiring and controls.

Given that it's a '91, it'd be less expensive to buy a '91 that came with 4x4.

Anything is possible with enough money but I have to agree with the others just get one that already has 4x4.
