Tonight I bought a speaker box setup that has 2 sub-woofers and 2 tweeters. The enclosure has 2 seperate speaker connectors for left and right channels. 4 ohm rated.
I still have the stock radio without any amplifier.
I want to use the enclosure for remote music listening (camping, etc).
I hooked up the left channel of the enclosure in parellel accross the leads of my existing rear left speaker. Sounds really good! I also experimented by hooking the enclosure up in series (just to hear what it sounded like) and decided the parellel hookup sounded the best. I let it play for a good 1/2 hour and it seems fine (no heating of speaker wiring or decrease in audio output/quality).
Am I going to hurt anything with this setup? If not, I'll hook up the right channel this weekend.
Any response is appreceiated!

ps: I did a search but didn't find any definitive answers.
