Recently had my 2000 mounty 5.0 wrecked and the insurance totaled it out. Great vehicle one of the best I've owned. Only had 110000 on it. Through the years I got pretty familiar with the problems and repairs common to them. Now I am thinking of replacing it with a third generation specifically another v8 awd mountaineer. How do these compare in reliability longevity etc to the second generations? Better vehicles? Worse? Or about the same? Any thoughts are appreciated.
