Aftermarket MAF housing.... Solution to MAF and air box removal

I have been searching on this forum to options regarding the mass air meter since it is part of the upper air box. I have come across the Spectre brand and some say it works while others are skeptical.

What do you guys think of this? If does cost a little more then the Spectre but seems like it may be built better.

Are you suggesting to leave the stock airbox and drop in a oem dimension K&N?
