2001 Ford Ranger EDGE
I have a 2001 ford ranger edge, all stock. I would like to put In a new stereo, one preferably with the USB port for my iPod to hook up to, or if it comes down to it, an auxiliary cable. I have no clue how many watts i need or if every stereo fits. I do not want the big fancy touchscreen stereos. I was looking towards a decent system around $75-$200
Can I get a lesson on the watts? Any ideas for a stereo for me? Later on I may get new speakers, but for now just a stereo.
Thanks!!!!

Basically all stereos have a standard size other than the touchscreen models and there are a few non touchscreens that are double DIN. There is a bezel that fills in the space of a standard size stereo for Rangers so it doesn't look so odd.
As for watts, you are better off running a separate amp to whatever speakers you want to run. A 25 x 4 head unit just isn't the same as an amp with the same rating.

Try this forum for your audio questions, you should get some good info from people that hang out there:

Alpine ixa w404 Bluetooth install

I have an aftermarket Alpine ixa w404 that has bluetooth Interface module # KCE-400BT does anyone know how to hook it up. The store wanted $100.00 to install it said the unit needed it's own power supply hooked into it and the microphone is difficult to install. I would appriciate any help with instaling it myself any ideas how to hook it up.
