so I've noticed there is a lot of room behind the water reservoir for the cooling system in my 2004 X. I was wondering if there was anyway to add in a second air intake in this area. obviously I feel like there is but I guess my main concern is will I get any real difference in power, gas mileage or torque with this. if anybody has tried this please point me in that direction I will be more than happy try to either duplicated or change it to fit my car but they should be the same. I have already done the mod to the factory air box to drill holes before the filter and take out the silencing cone. I plan to make a heat shield and route some kind pipe for a cold air type effects. I also have a tuning program from a superchip installed.

It would have to pipe in before the MAF sensor. Only so much will flow through the tube. Opening up the stock box like you did is probably the most you'll get. This is just my opinion.
