I had a flashing airbag light not long after I got mine.

Came out of a petrol station and went over a bump and that set it off.
When I got home, I fiddled round under both front seats, pushing in any connectors I could find to make sure nothing was loose.

Light went off and never had a problem with it since (touch wood).

Not sure exactly which connectors are for the airbags but I'm sure I had read somewhere just before that happened that the connectors under the seats can be dodgy.

Hope this helps and you get it sorted soon.

Steve

Aldive mentioned in one of his threads that there is a resistor under the seat that sometimes gets a bad connection. Unplug it, clean the connection with contact cleaner, then plug it back in. What code was it flashing? You could look air bag codes up on WWW.Veryuseful.Com. There is also a thread in the General Explorations section with a list of codes.

The person in this thread seems to have cured a chronic problem with codes 36, and 37: http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=147268. According to this thread, he fixed his problem by soldering the resistor directly to the wiring instead of using a push on connector which has problems making electrical contact after a while. This is the thread with the list of codes: http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=128047. This is AlDive's thead: http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=109287.

Cheers Fellas for all the help i will look under the seats tomorrow and see if there is anything a miss.
Andy.
