I don't know if it has anything to do with the problem but a month ago I had my pcm replaced for performance issues, but just a few days ago I went to unlock the door with my normal key and as soon as I opened the door the alarm went off, I thought maybe it was a fluke but it happened again and again and again, now every time. I lost my keyless entry remote so I gotta get another one, I don't know the code for the keypad on the door, I know how to get it but I'm not really up for tearing up some interior to get it. So what's going on with this? Is it a door issue? I mean it shuts just fine, no door ajar lights unless the door is really open. Please help, thanks!

Hello though I've not heard of your issue I'd just like to say there are videos on YouTube but its not harmful to your interior at all to pop off your passenger side B pillar interior panel and the security code is behind it clearly visible when I bought my explorer had to do the same thing as well as get a key fob programmed and IMHO its not destructive to the fit or function of the trim or how it looks in the interior it pops right back into the tabs

Yeah it's a weird issue to me, it just did it again this morning, I tried getting to the alarm module but I gotta get a torx bit to get the seat belt bolt off, even then unlocking it with a code will probably still set it off, I'm glad the alarm works but it's becoming embarrassing every time it goes off, especially at my work were security watches every inch of the parking lot.
