Alternatives to spray tint for 3rd brake light?

i know i can use spray tint on my 3rd break light, and i will need to do something to it once i pick up some clear tail lights, i was wondering if there are any alternatives to using the 13 + shipping can of spray tint that i will only use about 1/4 of a can of. if any of you have an idea please let me know thanks

4 dollar can of testors transparaent black tint spray. i have the spray, just have tried it yet

or you can get those vinyl decals on ebay that say explorer. itz black, and has a cutout of EXPLORER so when you step on the brake, it lights up EXPLORER. about $7-10

Or you can use etched vinyl and cover your third brake light like I did mine. I have clears too! It looks sweet. Check out my photo gallery.

I got one of those!! Its pretty cool. Although i paid $30. Got a second one with it to incase i screwed up and gave it to a friend. Which reminds me that i have to go rip it off his Explorer....
