Hi! Sure could use some guidance.

My battery drained in my 2003 Ford Explorer Sport. I charged it up as it was reading as good on battery charger. Bought a new alternator and installed it as the pulley was making noise. Still it won"t charge my battery. Can anyone help me with where to check next and how to check it.
Thanks Lynda

Could be a bad ground or positive cable. Corroded cables are rigid and not flexible. They may even crackle while being bent.

Though, a cable doesn't have to be that corroded to be an issue.

Big difference between your home battery charger showing it as "good" versus a load test at an auto parts store. I'd take it somewhere and have it officially tested to make sure the battery really is good.
