alternator fire

I saw a thread that mentioned fords policy of buying parts at a fixed price and getting the quality that that means.

Has anyone else had a fire at the main battery cable connector on a 4.0 litre engine ?

I am thinking motorcraft should have real direct feedback and I wouldnt trust a third party to pass on the info.
So if its a regular and dangerous fault, they should have it pointed out.
