amp w/ stock hu

is it posible to install an aftermarket amp onto the stock hu?
(i got a 97 xlt with jbl system)

In my Budget Bass project, I tapped the speaker leads right after the OEM non-JBL amplifier, using a PAC OEM-2, for signal to an aftermarket amp.

hmm okay..could you give me some kind of instructions on how to do this cuz i just burned my factory amp lol

so i just found the pac oem-2, i already ordered it online.can you list like which wires go to which?or post some photos please?
and thanks for the awsome idea!!!i never thought of this way of amping my stereo!!!
