Well, a few weeks ago I aquired a belt squeek only on a cold start up. I tightened the belt a little, but it didn't make much difference, so I changed the belt. (I have a manual tensioner due to the supercharger..and it is the belt for the accessories that is squeeking.)
Changing the belt made no difference, as with tightening up the new belt a bit more....

What I am wondering is maybe an accessory is getting a little tight when it sits and thus causes a little belt drag? Thoughts?

is it safe to wd-40 the accesory pullies?

i'm sure there's something you can add to it, i've always heard of holding a bar of soap slightly to kinda grease everything, but with a supercharger maybe not.

I'm subscribing 'cause my friends does this and am trying to help him out with it. He took a can of wd40 and sprayed whatever he could for the pulleys (haha). Didn't do anything. Overtime though it's gone away but it can still be heard. According to a local inspection place they say it's a catalyctic converter.....
Pretty sure they're just trying to screw him? Or maybe he told me something that didn't go with the story. Reguardless, still tried to sell him one for like 400 bucks.
Sorry for the rambling.

Update:

I replaced the belt with a Goodyear Gatorback belt....squeek gone.

I had a Advanced Auto cheepy belt which started it all, then replaced it with a Dayco cog belt which didn't help either.
