- 2008 Explorer Eddie Bauer
Hi, All,
Paul Revere here. Well, not exactly... I have so many internet accounts and screen names / passwords, my creativity in creating such has burned out!
We (my wife and I) recently bought a 2008 Explorer, Eddie Bauer edition, V6.
So far we mostly like the vehicle. It was purchased mainly for camping trips and the occasional trip or usage where we need more room than our Subaru Outback, AND when needed to be able to tow the popup camper we bought last spring. (2500lbs. would be "pushing" the limits of the Outback.) Plus we wanted something with under 100k miles on it. This retires our old ('97) Mazda MPV, which has been a great vehicle, but is RWD and awful in any instance where traction such as in moderate to deep snow, etc., becomes an issue.
However -- we've run into an interesting towing issue (height off the ground of the Explorer's factory installed Class II receiver), and I'll be posting in the appropriate sub-forum soon. Thanks in advance!
