I dropped the Throttle Body off for Tim to perform his magic on. His 5.0 Sport looks even better in person. The motor swap looks like a factory install, body is perfect. Beautiful truck.

Interesting JD. That just might work. What I see there looks like it would give adjustability (If thats a word) to the whole assembly till you had it right.

So i know you brought up ait in the other thread and being able to read them with sct.what are you ait now compared to ambient temps? Like to see how much higher they are after sc and gives me an idea of what mine should be before sc

good question. I'll log them so we all know. Im sure it will be close to the same as ambient temp though (High temp when the trucks not moving as the air filter probably sucks hot air from the engine bay). My iat currently is located in my maf.

Is it in your maf? Crazy.i would have to think it would be a little warmer by time it gets to your lower manifold.if its in your maf then yea it probably will be very close to ambient temps.you have a plastic manifold or just upper is plastic?

Upper plenum's plastic, and the lower intake is aluminum.
The connector to my maf has six pins, and the two end pins will not be used on the new maf. I'll be adding 2 wires to the harness to connect the new iat sensor that is located post blower.
Thanks to James Henson for pointing this out right away and sending me the new sensor and plug-in pigtail. Also, to Ron Caster for pre-drilling and tapping the M90 mount he sent me.

Didn't I mention this to both of you weeks ago? I am pretty sure remembering stressing this point to you guys a while back; perhaps in both threads.

Pretty much all newer vehicles that aren't force induced from the factory have the IATS integrated into their MAFS.

Nope not really. You have to think that it only takes a small fraction of a second to travel from the MAFS IATS to the cylinders. There would probably be less than a few degrees difference, if that, between the two. The aircharge just doesn't remain in the intake manifold long enough to soak anymore heat up.

true true so when he post his ait before charger they should be very close to ambient then, given a degree or two,or depends where he is pulling air from and if he is moving or not
