Another OHV M90 build

I ended up modifying my throttle bracket some more. With the new cable, the angle of attack needed to be almost spot on to make sure there wasn't any binding. I just made a cut, and bent the mount (Just below where the cable mounts).. At a later date, I'll have the gap welded for strength.

I'd take a pic, but my phones dead.

Thanks for that clarification JD, thought I wasn't too crazy when looking at those temps. 76 is without the blower I would imagine, was this with spirited or causal driving? also did you at any point use your ac?

The last log, I just posted a snip of WOT. I think I posted the RPM's also. Being that the iat is inside the MAF, it should be very close to ambient temp (Unless Im sucking air from inside the engine bay).

If your intake is still stock, I would say those numbers are spot on. I have an open air filter that suffers from heat soak. I recently had to redo some stuff under the hood this weekend and thought I would recommend air/oil separators for the intake and pcv valve. Pulled mine today and found some pretty concerning oil in the tubing. Its normal but since I am not running meth (yet) I would recommend this while you have it all within reason to pickup and mock up.

Well, m90's mounted.

Water neck...In the way. Solution, cut twist it a bit, and have it re-welded.
Fuel line, m90 mount in the way. Solution, weld new bracket so that damper mounts to fuel rail at 45 degrees rather than up and down.
To do's
M90 pulley doesn't line up. Solution, pick up a couple of washers and shim the pulley out about an eighth inch
Oil filler neck perfectly in the way. Solution, cut the neck down and have it welded.
Heater hoses in the way, or the valve, I should say. Solution, pick up a length of heater hose and relocate valve.

I'm bent on getting my first log to James for Monday. I won't have the valve cover sorted out, so ill mickey mouse it. I will pick up a spare valve cover from the graveyard yard to have the oil filler neck shortened.

I still need to sort out the egr piping also.

Only wiring left to extend is the coil pack. I can see light at the end of the tunnel. Long day. I'll post some pics tomorrow, or Monday.

Damn..did you ever test fit or this the first time its been on? Sounds like you got a game plan and determined! ;) cant wait for the videos ;)

No test fit. Should have though.
Those 36 lb injectors sure have big holes. Lots of gas, that's all I saw. Lol.

Do you have a fuel pressure gauge? Or wait you have a returnless line dont you?

Yes, Im return-less. I did install the pressure sensor yesterday, but haven't hooked up the gauge yet.
The M90 lives!!!!!!!!!!
I'm pretty happy.
The belt was hard to get. Tough to find someone that stocks a belt that long. Im 104.5 inches on it.

I forgot to look at the heater core lines, as I had to pull apart the vacuum switch and move the switch. I could have this hooked up wrong. I'm sure this is posted somewhere. I just need to find it. Bedtime, its been a long couple of days.

hey dono when you are at the yard let me know if you see any good wire harness'. I have been trying to find a decent ohv harness to redo somethings of course let me know how much cost for pulling. Glad to see your rocking and rolling on this thing. Can we get a video of that thing starting up?

Phix, you need the whole harness in the engine bay? I've never pulled one before.
The one that I pulled the valve cover from had all its wiring cut up, but there are other OHV's at other yards.

Also, one had a V8 in it. I was thinking if my M90 went horribly wrong, that could be an option.

you've been pretty busy don! wished i could have helped, but i was to busy getting evil ready for my "little" trip.

Lets see some pics and vid!!;)

No prob Tim, Once your back, I'll come see you. I still have work to do. Once I get my Valve cover sorted out, I still have some brackets to make. I'd love to bounce some ideas off you.

Have a safe, and fun trip!!

JD, I'm like a kid on Christmas eve waiting for my first tune from James.
I would like to get a bit further along before posting video.

Here's a pic. You cant see how the intake is mickey moused right now. No oil filler cap, just a bag stuffed in it.

Right on looks good in there tho;)

Thanks buddy. I can hardly wait to actually get it on the road ans see how high above 0 the boost gauge goes. Seems like a lot of work to get a needle to go above the '0' mark.
