Guess I would/should do more information on what I did. Snorkle is from eBay for 45.00, 3" rubber connector 8.00, 45* 4.99 elbow cut the top lip off and connected rubber connector to it and snorkel. 5 ft 3" black pipe 10.00 and cut it to length, 90* elbow 6.99, took a piece i cut from the 5 footer, connected it to the 90* elbow, then ran RV septic dump hose (12.00 for 10 ft) from that to the air inlet for the air box (behind the grill), silicone 1.99, sealer 1.99. Sounds good, no MPG change, only thing is with removing the inlet behind the grille that had the heat air from motor, takes the motor a little longer to warm up.

oh yeah sounds like a train coming at u in the passenger window.

Cool, but isn't your air inlet pointed the wrong direction?

i got it pointed that way cause of the rain, turn it around and it gets ton of water in it.

nice lights:thumbsup:

Ya I like the lights too

thanks for the light comment :-D the snorkel has a screen in. i thought about doing drain holes at the bottom turn, but again if there is holes that low... cause it to flood out he motor

Might be worth looking at the instructions with the Snorkel to see what it says about removing water. If it came with instructions.

the only instructions and tips that came with the snorkel top was to make sure it was turned away from the rain due to excess water, to have it higher then the hood level, and to seal all piping you use for it. so far it sucks enough air and no water :-D

next will be water proofing electrical components and moving the computer to the glove box.

i like it,could you post pics of it under hood please.
as far as it facing the wrong way ...it is not.think about all the cabover trucks..ie Ud's.. look at thier set up,faces backwards to keep water out .and the way he has it angled to the roof the inlet is right in the slipstream of air.

If you are worried about water make an intentional low spot and have a purge valve in it.

It's a good idea but in a flood you would be better off with a boat.

its already snowing there?
Thank god i dont live up there. lol. Im already cold natured. :wtf:
