Ears cut with grinder and cut off wheel. Old 44 spindle used to have 5 new holes drilled and tapped.

Mock up with old spindle and caliper mounting plate to show interference to be removed. Also show how close new drilled and tapped holes were to old holes and reason for plugging those holes.
