ANY 3RD gens RUNNING 265/70/17 with 9 inch wide rims?

Have a 2.5 rb lift ordered motto metal 17x9 wheels with -12 offset and was wondering if a 265 is to skinny for a 9 inch wide rim. I want to go with 285s bc I don't offraod but people are saying they will rub

9in wide does not work unless the offset is really + on the rims.
