1991 ford explorer eddie
Hi my name is Elliot, and i have a 1991 ford explorer 4x4. Wow do I love this truck, its never let me down. I have recently bought a set of 32x11.5 in. bfg mud terrains. They fit good, but I would like to make truck a little more aggressive looking and possibly later on fit 35's. What size and brand lift would anybody recommend?? Also could you let me know of what strengths and weaknesses the explorer has?

-thanks,
Elliot Dawson

Oh yeah hit up the search...Great tool

But hey here is some info. With a 5.5inch lift you can fit 35s with rubbing. You can add a body lift or cut the fenders out.

The weakness in the first gen like you have is the trannys. If you are lifting you need to look into gearing the axles so it is easier on the tranny. You will find this and more with a simple search. Many will express the same views.
