Any chassis differences on 91 Navajo for Lift?

I finally got time to go into look at lifts for my 91 Navajo (took a day off from work). Wanted to pop in a Superlift 5.5" kit, but the guy at the shop was a little perplexed as to why the kit is listed to fit 93-94 Navajos and not 91s in the catalog. I figured it was a typo of some sort, since kits from other companies fit the 94s all the way down making me assume the chassis and suspensions are the same.

I assume they're the same, but if anyone could back me up or tell me why not, I'd appreciate it. Superlift never replied to my inquiry.

Give them a call directly to see. Also look into Trailmaster and Skyjacker for different lift kits and sizes.

Tom Davis (tdavis), aka Linux Guru, has a '93 Navajo and he may be able to shed some light on it for you. Search for him and send him an e-mail with your questions.

Yeah, I already e-mailed him, but he's got a solid axle front (lucky git!). It looks incredible, but I'm assuming it'd be way out of my price range.

I think I might just bite the bullet and see what they say.

tom did have the 5.5" superlift kit on his navajo..... and they are exactly the same 91-94 so go for it : )

To the best of my Navajo knowledge, the answer is:

The only difference between Navajos and Ford Explorer Sports is the logos, trim, and badges. Part numbers are different (but that's Mazda/Ford thing), but the parts are the same. Everything I have ever bought from the Mazda Dealer has always had 'FORD' plastered all over it.

The only mechnical difference I could ever find other than trim, is the 93/94 Navajo's LX came with a 999,999 mile odometer (million miles), and Sport's came with 99,999 mile odometers (hundred thousand mile).
