It only sends the destination. Then uses sync services to do the routing. Or MFT Nav if you have it.

Yes I was interested in the use of MFT Navigation after the destination was sent from MapQuest. I have found several addresses don't validate in MFT Navteq data and those same addresses exist in Google or MapQuest.

Ah, got it. Give us an address you have that doesn't work. I can try it on my wife's Ex to see if it works. Or someone else on here that has Nav in their vehicle can give a quicker answer. It may take me a while to remember to do this on my wife's vehicle.
