Hey all,
I was wondering if anyone has ever plowed with their 2nd gen ranger. I have a 2000 ex cab 4x4. I would only be plowing my own driveway with it. Im hoping the 4r70w can handle some light plowing. Anything over about 3-4" I would call someone. But I'm thinking for the smaller snowfalls it might be ok. The plow I have is just a small Fisher. Nothing heavy.

There are people in ranger forums that have. Just take it easy (on the tranny) and use a small, light weight plow. If you struggle for traction, put some weight in the bed.

FYI the 2nd gen rangers only came with the 4R55/5R55 transmissions, not the 4R70W.

Still you should be OK if you don't go crazy with it.

It's been swapped with a explorer 5.0 and 4r70w.
