Anyone ever use ay of these? (dress up kits)

I was searching through the new http://www.explorerforum.com/store/ and found these things.

individual silicone hoses

silicone hose kits


I was actually looking for color matching rubber hoses, but I don't think they exist (not cheaply anyway).

Has anyone tried any of them and will they hold up ok?

I had the briaded stainless hose covers on my 65 Impala,
huge PITA to instal, looked fake as all get out.
It may in fact have been the same kit. ( I have been using Summit as long as I can remember )
I eventually stepped up and got all the REAL braided, hoses.

those are great as "finishing touches". the thing about them is that they look tacky on a dirty engine.

yea, those end caps are a pain to install. how something so simple...

I see them in a lot of ricer applications.

I put the braided hose cover on a '66 Chevelle and it was such a bitc*. You need a few people to get one hose done, and if you bend it just a little, it looks horrible.

I definately don't want anything that even remotely looks ricer!!!! :thumbdwn:
