anyone know how to put in a line output converter

I need to know which wires to hook up to the line out converter, i have a 96 XLT with 6 disc and stock head unit

The rear speakers. or which ever ones are convienient

but does it get hooked up by the head unit or in the door? and what colors goto the ones on the converter?

it doesn't matter if you hook it up near the HU or not.....when i did it it was a bit easier cause i have a sport. I just took the back speakers out and spliced into the wires put them back in, then ran wires over to the converter/amp.

That's how i did my set up in my 02 Stang. Was very easy because the rear deck allowed easy access of the wires through the trunk.

suggest doing at the speakers or at the factory amp. not behind the HU
