So I took off my right (passenger) valve cover off and there is not trace of any guide, but I have a bold with a real nice flat side to it. So not it's confirmed that I have to pull the engine. I didn't know if anyone has come across a good thread about this, or a list of what really needs to be removed from the engine before it can come out.

Thanks for any input you may have.

4. Unscrew the 4 bolts holding the exhaust pipe at manifold. ½ "-making!
5.Remove the starter motor. You do not let the cable connection.
6.Turn off växellådsbultarna keeping the engine together. We recommend an extended

7. Here is another picture of where växellådsbultarna sit.
From this page it may be easier to hand chasing out the bolts.
8.Here you dismantle the bolts in the bottom of the box.
9.When the engine and the box is separated, and the starter motor removed picked, you can access
turbine screws. 14 mm. Remove these. 4 pcs.

11.We recommend that you use a small air turbine engine when the screws should

12.Remove the cover over the cooler.
13. Let all the glycol from the engine. There is a drain screw on the right side of the condenser.

20 Release the earth cable, 11 mm.

22 Use a fan key to switch off the fan nut. It is rättgängad.
23 Release both kylrören to the automatic gearbox. 16 mm.
24 Release the plastic casing around the condenser.
25 Plastic casing and the fan losskruvade dismantled simultaneously.
26. Let cooler, 2 screws. Release also kylrören during the cooler, these are fastclipsade.
Let also the upper and lower radiator hose and let the last glycols drain.
27 Release both cooled hoses leading to the heat package.

32. Remove also the small holder to servo hose.
33. Remove the nuts to the servo pump.

36. Do not forget the vacuum hose when the ac-compressor release time. Do not forget to
re-mount it when the engine comes in. Easy happened!
37. Release the fuel connection. Use spring lock tool.
1999-2000 has a hose. 1997-1998 has two hoses.
38. This is how it looks when the ac-compressor has released a time.
39. Remove the engine mount. 4 bolts.
40. Remove the bracket to the oil stick to the machine.

left engine mount. 10mm, taken from below.
46.Now you can remove the mount to ac-compressor 15mm.
47. Release the power cable to the alternator, pull out the power cable and take off cable
