Anyone know where this goes?

I've just completed a tune up: new plugs, wires, fuel filter, trans drain and filter, rear diff flush on my 03 XLT and I just noticed this hanging down from underneath. Does anyone know what this is?

looks like a vent tube for the tcase, is it a rubber hose or a wire?

No, it looks like it was cut. It just drags on the ground.

can you follow it up to where it connects, i am sure its a tcase vent tube and i bet it really isnt cut but ripped off, do you offroad it? if not just stick it up and out of the way(maybe zip tie it to something on the body) but not tight it has to be able to "vent"

Hard to see, but it looks like this here...

That thin tube at the edge of the shadows, center of the pic... Without the vehicle up on a rack, it's not clear where it comes from or where it ends...
