There's not a whole lot to it...you'll have to take off the interior plastic molding to access the back side of the glass; there are several nuts holding the glass in. It's also sealed with a sealant (I used butyl when replacing).

Is yours leaking to. I was wondering this the other day.

No I have someone who wants to buy it from my donor truck.

I just replaced the seal in mine a month ago. Just as mentioned it's really easy. Be careful when you pry the seal apart. It'll break the seal real quick and you'll have a window on the garage floor!

I have a leak on the top.. could the seal be bad? And would taking it out and putting buthyl in place solve this. Sorry for the threadjack.

The seal IS bad. I've heard it could just be loose nuts around the window. But these things are getting old enough that it's probably the seal going.

I swung by my local glass shop and got enough butyl for both windows for $10.

I'm looking at doing this for both rear windows this week. Did your glass shop give you butyl caulk or tape? Are you also replacing the OEM seal?

I have had mine out a few times...(replace, and painting the truck) never had a problem with them leaking. And I never used and sealant :dunno:
