anyone riding 22's...

anyone on here riding 22's or know what is a good size to go with...i have 22x9 giovannas and im looking for tires...pretty sure im giong with either a 265/40/22(lowered) or a 285/45/22 seen an x on cardomain riding them without mods...i have a 2002 xlt 4x4 explorer...thanks in advance

I have an 05 explorer limted, lowered with ground force springs and i have 22's and running 265/35R22 no rubbing

thanks 4 the reply im looking for something with a bigger sidewall and im also trying to stay away from lowering it...but do u have anypics and also did u have trouble putting stocks back on with lowering kit...how much did it lower with the kit?

I have an 04 XLS lowered on Belltech springs. It sits really low. I ran 265/35s for a while and then switched to 285/35s. The extra sidewall is definitely better. If I hit any big bumps my tire kisses the bottom outside edge of my fender. No rubbing on turns or anything.

thanks but i checked and it says the rim width for the 285/35/22 is 9.5-11" how wide are the rims u are riding? i dont think my 22x9 will fit that series

If you haven't put tires on yet, I can tell you that 285/40's fit 22x9's perfectly. No rubbing, no hitting over bumps, etc and good clearance everywhere. The extra sidewall also gives a decent ride. Had mine on for over 12months now and zero issues...
