After replacing my OHV shortblock I started having an oil leak at the oil filter adapter... After replacing the o-ring 3 times, this unit still leaks a bit of oil...According to Ford, there was a design change in the oil filter adapter and the design I have I cannot get the o-ring to properly fit the adapter...The current o-ring from Ford is round through the body instead of square like the one in the adapter from my original engine...
So I am trying to order a replacement adapter from Ford but they are not real certain when the part MIGHT ship or be deivered...I have used an oil filter relocation kit before on various V8 Ranger conversions and I am tempted to do the same here... I still have one of my original Rangers and that relo kit hasn't leaked a drop in over 10 years...
Any ideas/opinions/suggestions?
