Anyone used Dorman Anti-Rattle Kit

My liftgate is rattling a bit and was searching for new rubber bumpers, when I found this kit. Search forums and nothing came up. Has anyone installed this and had success?

Unless the striker bushings are worn, try spray lube to isolate the noise. If that helps, use a heavier grease for a longer term fix. Also make sure all door, window, and lift gate seals are clean and conditioned. I chased a rattle for two years and had every interior panel apart to find dry door seals were the cause. Gummi Pflege is great, a little bottle goes far.

Since you have used the stuff, how long does it last?

:scratch: What "stuff"? If you're referring to Gummi Pflege, I thoroughly cleaned the seals then used two applications about six months ago. Seals are still very soft and pliable. I do live in Hawaii, YMMV. This stuff was once exclusive to BMW dealers until the word got out. Very highly praised and reviewed in auto detailing forums such as Autopia, Autogeek, etc.

sometimes the lift-gate on my '01 EB will make noise (wouldn't quite call it a rattle, more like clunking) when going over a bumpy road. i've found that if i grease the latches and the bushings it stops the noise. BTW, my bushings still look okay.
