Anyone with experience with por-15?

I recently purchased the solvent, por-15, degreaser, and prep. & etching primer for some surface rust repair.

How thick is the por-15?, as the suggest 5% solvent to thin it for sprayers.

My question is... How thick does it apply either brush or spray?

I used POR-15 across the bottom of my third door (on the back), the guy who owned the vehicle before me did a poor spray and pray job which was rusting through at an alarming rate. Using a paddle sander, some bondo and POR-15 with a spray-can of primer, along with the best match I could get for actual gray trim color, I re-did it myself. I used a foam roller to apply the POR and I can attest that it actually goes on very thin. I could have probably saved 40% or so of the paint I used, pouring out more than what was needed.

The only issue I take with POR is that it is rather...finicky? To top-coat the stuff you have to wait, then sand, then prime with their primer, then top-coat. If not it'll bubble in the sun, which I can also attest to.

But the stuff is indestructible and well worth the expense.

The paint also goes on very smoothly even with the roller. I expected a ripply, wall paint affect but instead I got a smooth surface to work with. Also, spraying the primer when the paint is still wet or sanding it after 4 hours with 600-1000 grit is the best way, if not even the primer won't adhere.
