Audio Streaming Problem?

My wives iphone 3 GS will connect with Bluetooth only to make a phone call. When we try to stream music it says searching for connection and does not connect. Funny thing is my IPHONE 3GS will stream music? Any thoughts? 2013 EXP limited 3.5 software.
