- 2005 Sport Trac
Hi there, first of all, I wanted to say that I am very happy to have found this forum. I found it today and it has already helped me solve a major problem with the keyless entry!!!
My question is: I just got the 2005 sport trac. The dealer stated that the truck has a mp3 compatible audio system, however, when I insert a mp3 CD, I can't hear anything. The display says "Trk 1" and counts the time of the track but the track seems to be unlimited in time, I have forwared it up to 8 minutes and it never skips to the second track. Also, I don't have any buttons labeled "Folder" to skip between folders on CDs. On the other hand, regular CDs work fine. There is also satelite radio availability and a cassette player.
The problem is that the owner's manual gives me a few pictures with different audio systems but none of them match the look of the actual audio. On several websites I found info that mp3 players were standard in all 2005 editions. Is it possible that I don't have the mp3 player? It would be a great disappointment...
