Auto Climate Control has a mind of its own

I have the automatic climate control module in my 02 Explorer. When running the heat/ac, the buttons that direct where the airflow should come from (foot, dash, defrost) do not work, however the air cycles on its own amongst the various zones. Has anyone heard of this before and if so do you know what the fix is? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you should check the vacuum lines, there is a block behind the glove box, also two lines under the hood by the heater valve. I doing the spark plugs i pulled the valve one and under acceleration it would switch vents.
