Inside the hub at the very back of it where there bearing is located is that shaft suppose to be attached the hub assembly? I can pull the whole spline assembly out of the hub without removing the snap ring. I can do this on two of my hubs, but on my 3rd one I can not. So I am trying to figure out if the shaft is snapped or is it really suppose to be like that. I think I have a few different years of auto hubs because they all slightly very by design.

Anyone know where I can find a exploded diagram of the autohub?

...Check the stickie at the top of this section...

The snap ring is supposed to keep the splined center section in place. If you can remove the center section without removing the snap ring then the bearing post must have broken off..
