Auto Transmission Wiring Harness

I had a wiring harness fail on my 99 SOHC/5r55e auto transmission and the transmission ended up getting cooked. Since the mechanic rewired that harness and replaced the transmission, I've been having lots of engine problems (specifically lean bank 1 & 2 codes). The engine was running fine prior to this so I'm wondering if he wired it up wrong and would like to take a look.

Is there any way to get to this harness without dropping the transmission? I can barely see/reach it from the wheel-well. Can it be released somehow and disconnected? Or maybe accessed via the floor inside the cab?

Are you referring to the internal or external harness?

External harness.. the one that runs over the top of the bell housing.

It's better to get the exact harness instead of using a harness that was rewired.
