Automatic transmission filter change and rear axle oil.

Hello. So im going to change my filter in my Aerostar.
I have a 1995 XTL V6 4.0l E4WD 4R55-R.

Im woundering how much oil do i need to prepare me for ? i know it takes around 9.6 Liters, but i have also been told that if you just take the sump off, it only dumps around half.. is that true ? The shop i use recommended me ATF 1200.

And also, how much oild does the rear axle take ?

Welcome to this forum! Are you going to remove the pan or disconnect one of the cooler lines? Dropping the pan doesn't require that much fluid to refill it. As for the rear differential, are you going to siphon the fluid out of the hole on the top or remove the side pan?

Im going to drop the pan, and Change the filter inside the transmission.

Rhe rear axel, im thing again about the pan, just so i can make sure the diff is alright.
