Awd for an 03 explorer xls

Hey I have an 03 explorer xls lol and is rwd i want to convert it to awd i can get my hands on a mountaineer with awd is it pritty straight forward with a swap and bolt?

What's wrong with the Mountaineer?(as in why not just drive it and sell the XLS?)

I imagine the drivetrain parts should swap with little effort. Not 100% positive.

Whitestan04GT-Were you the one that was building up a mountianeer and doing dyno testing of each part that was put on? If so, what's the current progress?

i own the xls i was refering to being able to get a hold of a moutaineer i am putting the turbo system on mine and the awd with the lowering kit will make it fun

I think it would be more fun without the AWD because then you could do burnouts, get sideways, etc. But when the time comes to get serious, put on some drag radials and hit the track. Plus, it will be faster assuming you hook up because you won't have the added weight and power loss of turning the AWD

Yep, tons of parts laying around, I've been working for months without a break, havn't really had time, fixing to get all the new suspension & brakes down along with some new shoes, will have pics before november. Still updating.
