Hi,
For almost 5 years, I have been living with the howl noise between 10-20 mph. The tires are changed out from Firestones to an A/P tire. There is no difference on brand-new paved roads.

When I put in neutral to see if there is a noise, there is none. In reverse, it does the same thing.

I appreciate for any suggestions other than to turn up the radio.

Thanks,
Shane

My car isn't AWD, but I also have a whine in my front end. Mine only occurs in low range gearing under extreme loads when turning and going up hills. I thought this was normal and was just the sound of the low range gears in the transfer case.
