Why can't the Stock Granny/column Shifter on 89-95 Rangers/Explorers/BII be reused on a V8 conv when using an AOD tranny. I understand the stock column shifter has different cable lengths, but cant this be modified? Per say using the AOD adapter kit? (for adapting ther mega shifters to work on the AOD) Just an Idea.....? Would save me the $130 of having to buy an shifter for my conversion!
One more Question: On the B&M shifters for Automatic transmissions, why don't they have an Overdrive spot. Will they work on a Overdrive tranny such as the Ford AOD? (I understand they will work, but will it put it in to overdrive?)
