Hi there ....

iv finaly installed a kenwood dvd system , but the problem is that the steering wheel buttons and the backup sensor has stopped working :(

is there any way to connect them with kenwood system ??

Not unless Kenwood offers a harness. That's the downside of going aftermarket. I think theyve been rendered useless now...

Visit Crutchfield

My 2008 Explorer came with Microsoft Sync and just a factory CD player with Sirius. I replaced my head unit with a Kenwood DVD Navigation System as well. If you go to Crutchfield, they have a harness that will allow you to keep all your functions with no problems. I installed it myself and I haven't had any problems whatsoever. It's a pain in the arse to program your steering wheel buttons to correspond to the PAC module (a part of the aftermarket/adaptor harness), but it just takes a little time. The only thing that sucks is that my Sync info doesn't display on head unit, so i have to use the little LCD screen they provide with it for that. Other than that, Sirius is displayed on my head unit and the IPOD interface works great. I did notice however, that my back up sensor is still there, it's just a little lower in volume now. So while backing up, I just turn the radio down so that I can hear it.
