Bearing noise in front diff??

Well today I replaced front Hub assembly. Bearing felt rough figuring that was the problem. Well just test drove and growling is still there. So I put it on jacks and hear the noise coming from the front diff. It was half quart low. Topped it off and noise is still there. The diff is dry and no leaks visible At all. Are these diffs known for this ?

Spinning the bearing on the car will always feel a little rough, because your also spinning the half shafts.

I believe your going to get noise from the dif. It's just a matter of how much noise.

Have you considered that the bearing on the other side is what's bad?
Also, does the noise change if you engage 4wd?

Well found it. Right front bearing. Nice and quite now
