Im interested in letting a lil more horses loose from my engine and Im leaning twards a flowmaster exaust system( cat back) But I would like a rear exit. What Muffler or cat back system would be better for my explorer? Should I just get the muffler and have an exaust pipe made? How much does this run?? please help me, Im new to this... Also for Breathing performance, should I get a K & N drop in filter, or does anyone make a filter charger kit for this year of eplorers?

I had a Borla catback and I was very impressed with it. They're a bit pricy though. I paid $400, but carparts.com has them for $350 or so. A flowmaster can be had for around $200. http://www.carparts.com has Borla but make sure you get the 1/3 off coupon. Summit racing has Flowmaster.

I had a K&N in mine, no noticable change in performance. http://www.kustomz.com has the cone type filter. It should give you around 5hp, at least thats what adding a cone to an SHO does. I've always had K&N just because in the long run it saves money from not buying air filters all the time.
