Best gasket sealer ?

I've alsmost gone blind reading the search results for "gasket sealer" . Tons of good info there but not what I'm needing so I'll have to ask

What is your favorite gasket sealer for the pan gasket and valve covers ? What is the recommendation for water pump gaskets ?

For those items, the best gasket is just to use the appropriate gaskets for those pieces. gasket sealer, eg silicone, really sucks......old school. Clean the pieces absolutely spotless, apply the gasket as directed...no more problems. Hope this helps.

not the best idea to use gasket sealer on an oilpan gasket. to easily could some get into the system and Fk it all up.....

valve cover gaskets aren't really a big deal since there isn't very much oil pressure up at the top of the engine, sealer isn't very likely (1 in a million chance, unless overused) to get in.

btw if u want to use some RTV is good stuff.
