My 2001 EB has the leather seats (power, heated). I have two issues with them:
1. The base is too tall. At the lowest setting, my head is almost touching the roof. If I recline too much, to lower my head, then my back starts to hurt in couple days.
2. They are pretty stiff. My Sable has better cushioned seats and that makes it easy to be driven for long distances/hours.

Now, i am looking to replace those seats with manual ones that will be lower and better cushioned. I saw on eBay various manual bucket seats, they look lower, but I am not sure of they are better padded.

Does anybody have a recommendation for some good seats?

Mustang seats will be a bit lower. My buddy who is 6'4" had the same problem. He swapped in some '99 mustang buckets and it lowered the seats an inch or two. Not a lot of difference, but enough that he deemed it worth while.

Thanks, it is definitely worth checking. Two inch is all I need.
I wonder if their airbag is compatible with Explorer system?

Recaro will make seats to for anything, they're really expensive though.

Some guys have swapped 3rd gen ex seats in and one guy has done Excursion seats.

My seat lumbar support is not existing. Passenger side works.
I'll play with that, maybe I'll find the problem.
