I want to put some interim tires on my EB as i have just started and really am enjoying taking it offroad. I have about 1.5 inches of Front end TT lift and about 2" in the rear with WAR153 shackles. Do you think i can move from the existing 255/70/16 BFG longtrail TA to the BFG 295/75/16 TA KO tires without having to make any body modification?

I am also looking to put some front sway bar disconnects and eventually a 3 inch body lift.

Oh and a Powertrax rear locker hopefully soon on this one, really needed it last trip out.

that is over a 33 inch tire you will NOT fit that under there with out a body lift and some trimming.

with a body lift, TT and shackles you will be able to fit 33's "285/75/16" but it may require some trimming.

Unless he doesn't care about his fenders and is not afraid to handle a reciprocating saw or grinder. This has crossed my mind quite a few times to keep a lcg and just cut up to gain clearance similar to things guys do with jeeps. Some with tj's have been able to clear 35's on like 2" of lift. The only problem is with doing this on the Ex is the 4 door with the rear door in the way.

so 31 x10.5 15 will not fit on a stock explorer sport

I am really reluctant thou of putting on a 3" body lift but at the same time don't have the time or skill for a SOA and front suspension lift and everything that i have read doesn't leave me any other options.

On stock rims no lift ( Just taking the sag out of the torsions to be even with the stock back ) My best friend runs 285x75x16's on his 99 EB with about 3/4"s trimmied from the stock bumper.
The tires are stuffed, but with less then a half of an inch of trimming from the front there is no rub.

Do the EB fender flares reduce or increase the capacity for the tire's? Just wondering i love the look of my EB but just not sure if there is a advantage or disadvantage.

I would imagine on road it might not rub but once you get off road and actually get the suspension flexing its going to be a whole nother stoy.

As far as the fender flares go on the eb. I guess if they hang below the metal of the wheel well itself then they would reduce tire diameter. If they stick out past the wheel well then they may make your truck look more legal if you push the tires out farther making you truck wider.
