CHP says SR18 is still closed on this (west) side of Big Bear dam. I'm not crazy about driving off the mountain and back up again... twice. Makes the drive almost 3 times as long . I'll check again in the AM.
...i just heard it is confirmed on 18's closure...the rest of the roads they said they will plow 24 hrs a day thru the weekend...so i guess i should go up the 15 to???
...and i second the later start...i know there is a couple killer little taverns....and maybe get a chili size to warm up...
It's nice, but if it snows enough at this elevation that I can't easily get out of my driveway without shoveling, then I'm not going to be there in the morning. I'll be sitting in front of a big fire drinking cocoa
I screwed up my shoulder trying to get a ton of wood split before the rain came and I'm really not up to shoveling snow if I don't have to
